Lockers for Rent: Gym, Coin-Op and Pro Sports

Locker runs by the foot

Most EC Props metal, wood and formica lockers are rented by the foot of run, with the number of doors across where EC counts them, and many of the metal lines ask you to specify the color. Of the locker lines filed here, the three with the most footage are L-0299, 2 tier expanded metal lockers at 113 feet; L-0196, single door lockers at 108.75 feet with 87 doors; and L-0138, single door flat top lockers at 93.75 feet with 75 doors.

Among the lockers, the stock book marks L-0127 and L-0366 as matching each other: 2 tier flat top lockers 15 and 12 inches deep, at 71 and 67 feet of run. Of the locker lines counted in feet, two stand on casters, both single door with a slope top: L-0004, 26.25 feet with 21 doors, and L-0440, whose 15 feet EC's list gives as 6 at 2 feet and 1 at 3 feet.

Coin-op lockers for a bus station set

EC Props lists 5 lines of coin-operated metal lockers, from 2 tier to 5 tier, the kind a bus station set calls for. EC's listings mark each of these coin-op lines as not paintable. The L-0039 lines carry a note to list L-0039K, the keys, so name the keys when you book L-0039A, L-0039B, L-0039C or L-0039D. L-0344 is a 4 tier light gray coin-op bank with blue doors, 31 inches deep, and the book lists L-0344K as the keys for L-0344, so name those keys too when you book it. The coin slots, the keys and the combination locks on lines such as L-0050 fall under EC's as-is rule like everything else EC rents, so before the pickup, talk to the front office about any scene that needs a door opened with a coin, a key or a combination.

Pro sports team lockers on casters

The pro sports team lockers are wood units on casters. L-0028 holds 3 lockers per unit at 90.5 inches wide and L-0024 holds 2 at 61 inches wide, both 86 inches tall with a bottom seat and storage box, and EC's listing allows paint as long as each unit comes back in its original color. L-0524 in dark stained wood and L-0567 in red/stained wood are single units, 93.5 and 95 inches tall, with three faux bottom drawers and a faux 2 door top cabinet, and their listings say do not paint.

At up to 95 inches tall and 90.5 inches wide, these units decide the truck, so give the front office the stock numbers and unit counts and ask which truck the order calls for. Both trips need enough crew, since "E. C. Prop Rentals employees cannot help you load or unload your truck, car or van." Your crew loads these units at Sherman Way on the pickup and unloads them there on the return, and the dock is open to both only until 4:30 PM. For units this tall on casters, EC's pick-up policy adds: "Also be sure that you have pads and ropes or tie-downs. E. C. Prop Rentals does not supply expendables."

Open access, equipment and unit lockers

The open access lockers are blue units with expanded metal sides, a cabinet and shelf above with a bar and two hooks, and a lift-up seat below. L-0665, 24 inches wide with 8 in the book, is okay to paint if it comes back in its original color; L-0115, 2 feet wide and deep with 5 in the book, is marked do not paint, no exceptions.

L-0622, 6 tier on feet, and L-0394, expanded metal with a small locker on top, are each listed as one unit rather than by the foot, and L-0439 is listed as 8 sections, each 2 doors wide, with a 58 inch lower door and a 12 inch upper door. L-0581, a red 2 tier fire and equipment locker with curved edges, 36 inches wide, has a count of 1 in EC's list and cannot be painted.

Door fronts, drawers and matching benches

Three lines are locker door fronts only, not complete lockers, each 12 inches wide: L-0682, single tier doors 78 inches tall without combination locks; L-0341, 2 tier doors with combination locks; and L-0681, 3 tier doors with combination locks, 85 fronts in all. L-0293 is a bank of locker drawers, twelve 9 by 7 inch drawers per unit, 2 drawers wide, with 20 units in the book.

The formica lockers L-0362 are listed as matching benches B-0203A and B-0203B. Most other locker room benches are filed under Locker Room Benches and most locker room signs under Gym / Locker Room Signs; a few, such as the bench B-0370 with 5 rod legs and the engraved plastic signs S-1092A and S-1281, are filed in no category and turn up in a stock book search.

Color and paint on rented lockers

Locker photos on this site show each line's style, and the color on the floor may be different, so name the color you need on the hold list. Some locker lines are okay to paint and others cannot be painted, as the tables show; EC's locker note says a painted locker must come back in a color and condition EC accepts, and a locker returned in an unapproved color or with poor paint work, such as drips, poor coverage, patterns or designs, is subject to a loss and damage charge. Confirm paint plans with the front office before the pickup.
