Shipping, Receiving and Loading Dock signs

S-0272 and S-0273, 10 by 2 inch black and white metal plates, read Shipping and Receiving on a door frame, and S-0630, a white and red wood board at 72 by 42, reads both on the side of the building. Between those two sizes, the door names table holds a 2-sided 14 by 7 inch metal Shipping sign with an arrow and a flange (S-2272), both words on one 14 by 10 inch plastic face (S-2400), beige and blue plastic at 23 by 18 (S-0601) and black and white wood at 48 by 18 (S-0744, S-0745). S-0762, Receiving Office Bldg 6, and the hours signs that carry the same words sit in their own tables below. None of the door names here is blue and white; searching the stock book for Receiving turns up some that are.

The metal and wood pairs are two lines each, so the hold list names both stock numbers with a count for each: the metal plates run one Shipping to three Receiving, the wood boards one of each.

For the side door, Deliveries Only comes in metal hanging on a wood bracket (S-0455), in wood (S-1563) and in black and silver plastic with Ring Bell For Service (S-3109).

The 5 hours signs here print their own dock hours, and those hours are sign wording, not EC's. Among those, the masonite S-0381 opens Receiving at 5:00a.m., S-0125 adds Monday-Friday and a West Lobby for a locked door, and S-1294 breaks between 11:30 and 12:00. Pick them by the scene's clock, and send the crew by EC's: its hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and its loading dock closes at 4:30 PM for pick-ups and returns.

Clearance heights and load limits printed on the signs

S-2021's line gives only the figure, 13' 6", and its 8 in the book give one height for a row of door headers. S-1009 spells out Clearance Height 10 Ft and S-2155 reads 13' 0" Clear. S-1379 has blanks where the feet and inches go, the clearance table's low head room signs (S-0201, S-0228, S-1498) give no number, and a metric 3.5m clearance sign is filed under European Signs.

The load limit signs below give a total, a per foot and a per square foot figure: 2000 Pounds on S-0871, a narrow metal sign 8 inches wide and 18 tall, 100lbs/FT on S-1386 and 50 LBS per square ft on S-1533, with the number left blank on S-0639. Each is one sign in the book, and each figure is sign wording only.

Wheel chock and truck driver notices

S-0019 and S-0431 differ by one word: both are blue, black and white Notice signs, but the book gives S-0019 (9 of them) as before loading or unloading and the metal S-0431 (3) as Before Loading and Unloading, so check the photos when a row of bays must match. Of the 4 chock lines, the black and yellow Caution versions are S-0118, with 7, and S-2447.

At the door, S-0760 tells drivers not to unload without a checker present, and the wood S-0743 asks them to place all cartons on skid; the skids themselves are under Pallets / Pallet Jacks. The book cuts off the waiting notices S-0081 and S-1783, S-1391 to truckers about valves and S-0114 on a container switch, and each line's photo shows the sign.

In the yard, S-0301, all trucks and carriers stop before proceeding, is 2-sided wood that EC's book marks period. S-2244 prohibits delivery trucks 33 Ft. and over in length, on posterboard; S-0092 is a cardboard notice to lock it and pocket the key; and S-0638 leaves the union hall's name blank. No Parking Loading Zone signs for the curb are filed under Street Signs.

Forklift and lift truck warnings, with the horn signs

S-0023 says Lift Trucks, S-1377 Forklift Trucks, S-0742 Fork Lifts and S-1213 Fork Truck: the two tables below spell the machine those four ways and also hold the lines that name only its forks (S-0085, S-0107) and the horn signs (S-1380, S-2443). The book counts 6 of S-0023, Danger Watch for Lift Trucks, and 5 of S-1377, Danger Look Out For Forklift Trucks.

S-0736 and S-1377 are 17 by 7 inches, S-0742 is red and white plastic at 30 by 18, and S-0794 reads Danger Watch For Moving Vehicles, with a picture of 2 men and a forklift. Among the rule signs, S-0134 (loaded forklift), S-0891 (hard hat) and S-0219 (off the blacktop) have 4 each. S-1534 is chipped on the right bottom corner, in EC's words, and Factory/Machinery Signs files one forklift sign of its own, Caution Fork Lift Trucks Go Slow.

Dock door, gate and keep clear signs

S-0783, Caution Open Door Slowly, has 4 in the book at 14 by 10 inches; S-0283 and S-0287 give the same words at 10 by 7, and S-1612 drops the Caution, in red and white at 10 by 8. S-0287's line is the one that mentions a black border, so name the stock number when the faces on one wall must match.

In the door and gate table, keep-closed wording runs to 4 lines and 8 signs, from This Door Must Be Kept Closed (S-0933, 4 in the book) to Keep This Door Closed And Locked (S-1825), and S-1382, also 4, is for a gate that must be closed when not in use. The keep clear table below holds 13 signs on 5 lines, and S-0472 names the dock itself: Keep Dock Clear Of All Material, at 24 by 24 with 3 in the book. Fork Lift Traffic Keep Clear (S-1534) is listed with the forklift warnings, and Stay Clear Do Not Stand Under Door (S-1538) with the door signs.

Confined space, step and handrail signs

S-0011 Enter By Permit Only and S-0191 Confined Space Area have 5 apiece in the book, both at 14 by 10 inches, and so does S-0183, Confined Space Work In Progress, at 17 by 11. S-2032 is wooden, and the book cuts S-1539's notice off mid-word.

For the steps off the dock, S-0836 Watch Your Step shows a man tripping (2 in the book), S-1866 reads Use Handrail and S-1243 is a stair symbol on foamcore.
