Bleachers and benches for rent: park, bus stop and sideline

Aluminum bleachers and the 180 inch sideline bench

As EC's book words them, the two bleacher lines differ only in width: B-0334 is 180 inches wide and B-0358 108, both aluminum, 4-tier and castered, 84 inches deep and 32 tall. Side by side, all 4 run 48 feet along a court or a field; check the two lines' photos, or ask the front office, before mixing the widths in one shot. Both lines are marked ITEM CANNOT BE PAINTED, so school or team colors come from the dressing around them.

B-0340, the aluminum sideline bench, shares the bleachers' numbers: 180 inches long, the wide bleacher's width, and 32 inches tall, the height of both, with a back and an 18 inch seat. EC lists 4, a 60 foot sideline end to end.

Backless aluminum benches, 90 to 96 inches long

For a gym wall, a dugout or a corridor, these 31 backless aluminum benches come on 4 lines, 90 to 96 inches long and 9 or 10 deep, and the legs tell the lines apart: X-frame on B-0283, the 96 inch line; T style with a bottom bar on B-0284; T style pipe legs with white rubber caps on B-0186, the one 10 inches deep; and U style on B-0285. B-0284 is also listed under Jail Bars & Furnishings.

Park style benches in slatted wood and coated wire

B-0318 is the bench to repeat down a park path or around a plaza: 17 in the book, slatted wood on metal legs, 47 inches long with a 17 inch seat. None of the other four park style lines in the table below holds more than 4, so a long run of one bench from this table comes from B-0318. The stock book search on the home page also brings up B-0318a, 6 benches worded like B-0318 but with no length given, on a line no category lists; ask whether they match B-0318 before counting them into a run.

The green benches pair two lengths on mock concrete legs and a 26 inch depth: B-0136 at 48 inches, 1 in the book, and B-0223 at 72, 3 in the book. The book stops each green line just after a 17 inch height, so their seat and overall heights are the front office's to confirm.

Brown slatted B-0245 is 96 inches with an 18 inch seat, the last full figure before its line breaks off, and B-0140, the one park style line in plastic coated metal wire, is 97 inches with a 19 inch seat.

Wood benches from 60 to 120 inches

B-0261 runs 120 inches with a 2 plank seat top on metal legs, and B-0174 is a 72 inch picnic table style bench, both backless; at the short end, B-0204 is 60 inches and the one of these five with a back, though the slatted wood park benches above have backs too. B-0174's line is the bench alone; EC files its Bench/picnic table lines under Picnic Tables.

B-0258 is the one bench in this group with a color in its line, aged dark red, 96 inches long and 20 tall, with 1 in the book. None of the five wood lines here carries a period word; EC's book marks period on locker room style wood benches such as B-0249 and B-0250, filed under Locker Room Benches.

Bus stop benches and the S-1398 shelter

B-0201, a black wire mesh bench 60 inches long and 20 tall, is listed as part of bus shelter S-1398, a 152 inch, flat-top shelter with a 2-sided sign box filed under Bus Shelters. The book counts 1 of S-1398 against 5 of the bench, plus 4 of S-1398a, a dome roof version 99 inches tall whose line also names a wire mesh bench and which Bus Shelters does not list; settle with EC's front office which benches go with which shelter before planning the stop.

B-0200, fiberglass with a back, 72 inches long and 24 deep, has a line in the book that stops partway into a note beginning GRAPHIC 69; for the rest of that note, ask the front office. EC cross-files both bus stop benches in Bus Stop / Bus Station Seating, beside C-0462, three connected metal frame chairs with blue molded plastic seats and backs; for the stop's signs, start with Bus Station Signs.

Fiberglass benches on metal legs

B-0001, B-0139 and B-0202 are all 96 inches long, B-0001 backless with 7 in the book, the other two with a back and a 17 inch seat; B-0278 is the 72 inch line of this group.

The two 96 inch benches with a back differ in depth, 17 inches on B-0139 and 23 on B-0202, with 2 of each in the book; B-0278, 1 in the book, is 18 deep with an 18 inch seat.

Steel benches with a handcuff bar

B-0287, 2 in the book, is 72 inches long, 12 deep and 19 tall, with its handcuff bar attached to the front of the seat. Black B-0303, 4 in the book, is 84 long, 22 deep and 18 tall and adds built in shackle brackets on its legs to the bar. Both lines also sit under Jail Bars & Furnishings, whose guide covers the bars, the cell and the visiting room.

One row from several lines: heights and depths

Mixed lines read as one row when heights agree, and the benches in the tables above cluster: 10 lines, 48 benches, give 17 inches and 8 lines, 42 benches, give 18, in a range from 16 on B-0285 to 20 on B-0201 and B-0258. Where the book marks it, that is the height to the seat, and elsewhere it is the line's one height, except on B-0136 and B-0223, where the book breaks off right after 17 and the front office has to say what the number measures. Depth is the second check: 9 or 10 inches on the backless aluminum benches, 11 on most backless wood and fiberglass and 17 to 26 on the benches with a back. On height alone, the black cuff bench B-0303 joins B-0283 and B-0001 at 18, but it is 22 inches deep to their 9 and 11.

Truck size for 15 foot stands and 8 foot benches

A 15 by 7 foot stand, B-0334, a 9 by 7 foot one, B-0358, and the 15 foot sideline bench, B-0340, are the pieces to describe first when calling ahead, then the count of 8 foot benches, such as the 14 on B-0283. EC's pick-up policy suggests that call: "You are encouraged to call ahead to see what size truck you will need for your order."

The bleachers' casters do not change who loads: EC's insurance bars its staff from helping get a stand onto the truck or off it at the return, so whoever collects, the production's own people or a shipper it arranges, sends enough hands for each one.
