Military and ammo cases for rent: ammo boxes, crates and missile containers

Ammo boxes by footprint and height

OD green metal accounts for 84 of the 147 ammo boxes counted in the table below, on 7 lines; the others are brown metal (A-0025), black metal (B-0057B), galvanized (A-0059 and A-0109) and gray plastic (C-0685).

Three footprints come in more than one height: on 12 by 6 inches, B-0057 at 7 inches tall, A-0058 at 10 and A-0118 at 16, with B-0057B a single black box at the B-0057 size; on 14 by 6, A-0117 at 14 and A-0056 at 23; and on 12 by 12, the galvanized A-0109 with a locking lid at 14 and the OD green C-0370 with a locking removable top at 22.

B-0151 has no size, color, count or photo, and its note reads SPECIFY SIZE AND COLOR, so a request that names it must say which box; the sized lines above already do.

Ammo crates and military containers on pallet-style bases

A-0063 is the long, low crate, green metal with 2 handles at 48 by 18 inches and 6 tall. A-0064 and A-0080 share a 32 by 19 inch footprint, both OD green metal with handles and a locking removable top, at 11 and 22 inches tall. The stock book search on the home page also finds C-0111, a wood ammo crate with rope handles, 32 by 8 by 11 inches; it is not in the table below and the book gives no quantity for it, so ask the front office about it.

Both C-0430A and C-0430B describe an OD green military container on a pallet-style base, 40 inches wide, 48 deep and 46 tall, and the book tells them apart by one feature: C-0430A has a door (1 in the book) and C-0430B an open end (3).

Fiberglass ammo cases and military cases

The C-0358 ammo cases are all 36 inches wide, and C-0358A and C-0358C share a 36 by 28 inch footprint at 22 and 28 inches tall; C-0358B is deeper and lower at 34 deep and 16 tall. C-0235, C-0620 and C-0766 run 32 and 33 inches wide. For a second fiberglass case at the C-0358C size, ask about C-0812, a green one the book lists at 36 by 28 by 28 inches (1), apart from these tables.

Of the 6 fiberglass ammo case counts, 3 split by color, and the table prints them as the book writes them: C-0235's line says OD Green, yet its count reads "(6) green (1) gray"; C-0358B and C-0620 name no color in the line and count "(5) green (1) gray" and "(1) green (1) black"; C-0358A and C-0358C name no color at all. For those five lines, a hold list needs the color written next to each count.

Apart from the missile containers, 2 lines read "Military Case": C-0407 and C-0410, both OD green fiberglass at 48 inches wide and 24 tall, 30 and 16 inches deep. The last two lines in the military case table are black: C-0357, a "Case, for rifle/gun storage" in fiberglass, 53 inches wide (1), and C-0683, an "Ammo Case, for magazine storage" in plastic (15).

Missile containers from 36 to 60 inches wide

All 4 missile container lines read "Military Case, missile container, OD Green, fiberglass," and between them the book counts 44 containers. C-0477 is the one with a missile head contour (14 in the book), and C-0478, 48 inches wide, lists 20. The two 60 inch missile container lines split slim and deep: C-0349 at 14 deep and 13 tall (8), C-0583 at 24 deep and 20 tall (2).

Several widths repeat from one kind of case to another, for a scene that mixes them: 48 inches for C-0478, the C-0407 and C-0410 military cases and the A-0063 crates; 36 inches for C-0477 and the C-0358 ammo cases; 32 inches for the A-0064 and A-0080 crates and the C-0235 and C-0620 ammo cases. Nothing else in these tables is as wide as the 60 inch C-0349 and C-0583.

Missile tubes, cylinder racks and cannon propellant containers

The ammo cartridge cylinder lines are the book's missile tubes: A-0065A, OD green metal, 8 inches in diameter and 45 long, counted "8 (7 green) (1 gray)"; A-0065B, one OD green metal tube sized 8 by 8 inches and 46 long; and A-0065P, which the book marks sci-fi, a plastic tube with octagonal and round sides, 7 inches in diameter and 45 tall (5). None of the lines in these tables names an era; the photos show the look.

Each of the 2 A-0066 racks is OD green metal, 40 by 8 by 45 inches, and the line reads "w/ (5) A-0065 cylinders." Which A-0065 line those cylinders come from, and whether they are counted among the loose A-0065A, A-0065B and A-0065P tubes, the book leaves unsaid, so raise it with the front office when an order wants racks and loose tubes both.

C-0684 is a plastic cannon propellant container, light gray with a dark gray cap, 10 by 44 by 10 inches (28 in the book). P-0207 is a pallet of (20) C-0684 containers with caps, and the book lists 2 of those pallets. P-0207's line is cut off after 48 inches wide by 44 deep, so ask for the pallet's height and whether its containers are among C-0684's 28.

Collecting 60 inch missile containers and pallet-base containers

Whatever vehicle collects the order, size it for the long and deep pieces: the 48 inch C-0478, C-0407 and C-0410 cases and A-0063 crates, the 60 inch C-0349 and C-0583 missile containers, the 53 inch C-0357, the 40 by 48 by 46 inch C-0430A and C-0430B and the P-0207 pallets, whose height the book leaves out.
