The table sorts the 8 rack lines with no rust note by width, so matches sit together: R-0046 lists four racks at 36 by 18 inches and R-0177 one more on that footprint, 3 inches taller. All have 4 shelves but R-0061, with 5. R-0033 and R-0060 are listed with no casters, and neither has a photo. Side by side, the 15 counted racks cover 57 feet of wall.

C-0503a and C-0503b are the same 62 by 26 by 68 inch cage cart, the B line with beige sides and shelves; C-0714 is the 50 inch cart. EC's book uses metro as the style and names no maker. Three more metro-style lines are filed in other categories: the parts carts with bins C-0514 under Parts Bin Organizers, the metro-style laundry and mail cart C-0513 under Trash/Recycling/Laundry Carts, and the metro tables T-0583 under Work Tables. A search of the stock book for metro brings up every line with the word in it.

Rusty metro racks, and the clean racks they match

All 8 rusty metro lines are castered, 11 racks counted, and none has a photo on file, so ask the front office how each one looks. R-0065 lists five of them at 48 by 21 by 80 inches, and R-0059 shares that footprint at 90 inches with 5 shelves, so it can end a row of the five. R-0131 is the low one, 29 inches tall on 2 shelves. Side by side, the counted rusty racks cover about 44 feet of wall.

Clean and rusty meet at two footprints. At 48 by 18 inches, the three clean R-0064 racks stand 77 inches tall, the rusty R-0063 74 and R-0125 69. At 60 by 24, the two R-0126 racks stand 66 and the rusty R-0152 80. The rusty R-0134 is 36 inches wide like the narrow clean racks, but 21 deep. No clean and rusty pair is the same height, so a row that mixes them steps along its top, and above 77 inches every metro rack is rusty: R-0134, R-0065, R-0152 and R-0059.

More rusty racks: garment, pipe shelf, peg and odd-shaped

For a derelict set, rust runs past the metro lines. R-0056 lists five old rusty iron garment-style racks on casters, a row of clothes racks for a gutted shop; R-0141 lists four odd-shaped rusty racks 7 feet tall; R-0151 lists three pipe shelf racks with rusty frames. R-0147 has 5 tiers on both sides, so either face can be dressed, and R-0179 is listed with tire chains draped on it. The old iron R-0144 and the distressed display rack R-0057 sit in the tables below.

Hat trees, coat hooks and rubber boot racks

Among the 5 hat and coat tree lines, the wood R-0028 and R-0031 are marked period and the aluminum R-0034 deco, for an older office, lobby or restaurant entry; of those lines only R-0163 carries a count, one tree, so ask how many of each EC carries. R-0002 and R-0013 pair shelves with 4 umbrella holes at the same 24 inch width and 76 inch height, in gray metal or beige.

On the wall, R-0026 lists 10 wood hook racks for hats and coats, specified like R-0032 by color, size and number of hooks. The lines for the 36 inch wood peg racks R-0069 and R-0079 differ only in their pegs, and the stainless steel R-0035 and R-0035s do not say what their hooks hold. The two boot rack lines, both wood on castered bases, R-0003 for rubber boots, coats and protective clothing (1 counted) and R-0010 with pegs (no count), suit a packing plant's wash-down door or a fire station's gear wall.

Racks named for a job: shop, kitchen, store, mail room, film vault

Lumber, pipe, broom, tray, mail and film canister racks name their job in the book: a lumber yard or plumbing supply takes R-0183, a 1-sided rack for pipe and lumber 84 inches tall, with R-0143 for planks and R-0027 for wood or metal stock, and a janitor's closet takes the black broom, rake and mop rack R-0203 with 35 slots. R-0024 is a wall-mount fan belt rack with no size in its line. The tire rack, R-0001, is filed under Tires.

For a kitchen, R-0182 is an aluminum tray rack with 18 slots, listed for baking and restaurant use; its line does not mention casters, while C-0737, an aluminum cart and rack with 18 tray slots on casters, is a separate line the tables here do not list. R-0144, old iron on casters for meat hooks, also names M-0113 meat hook racks, a stock number of its own that the line does not say comes along; for a butcher's cooler, list both, and add R-0054, the wrapping paper dispenser with a roll of brown butcher paper, for the counter. R-0019 is listed with 4 canvas mail bags, R-0166 is a 6 tier green rack for film canisters, 80 inches tall, and R-0138 lists two 3 tier ball racks for a gym equipment room.

Pipe, tiered, platform and hanging racks

The pipe, tiered, platform and hanging racks below give a size but no use: on a set a pipe rack often means a rolling clothes rack, but R-0004 and R-0052 do not say what they hold, and the one garment-style rack in the page's tables is the rusty R-0056; the garment rack cart C-0501, 3 in the book, sits outside them. The two R-0157 racks, 7 slanted tiers on casters, run 103 inches wide, and R-0167 is a 9 tier aluminum rack on casters. R-0044 and R-0137 carry plywood or a wood platform on legs. R-0200 is a 9 tier hanging rack on a square metal tube frame, 10 feet tall by the book's foot mark; EC's line calls it a China hat tree and says no more, so ask the front office what it holds.

Sizing the truck: the tall and long racks, and the ones to ask about

Height and length set the truck for this category. Going by the sizes the book prints for these racks, R-0200 stands 10 feet tall, R-0059 90 inches, and R-0141 and R-0183 84 inches; the R-0035 wall rack runs 108 inches wide, the two R-0157 racks 103, R-0004 98 and the R-0003 boot rack 96. Ask about R-0054, whose width is printed 10½ with a foot mark, R-0138, whose height is cut off, R-0027, which gives no size, any line a table marks Specify or Not given, and any measurement a size cell leaves out, such as the footprint of R-0200 or the height of R-0044 and R-0137.

Size the crew for the old iron as well: R-0144 is 30 by 60 inches and 36 tall on casters, and R-0056 lists five garment-style racks of old rusty iron, each 61 by 24 by 69 inches.
