Water tanks and 275 gallon totes for rent, 10 to 1,400 gallons

275 and 330 gallon totes, by base lining, cage and label

EC's book calls them liquid storage containers; white plastic, 275 or 330 gallons, with a cage or a lining around the base, they are what the trade calls totes. On four of the 275 gallon lines the lining color sets the units apart: blue on C-0489, whose 15 units are the most on any line here; white on C-0255-1, with 13; and black on C-0255-7 and C-0255-8, with 7 and 10.

The other 275 gallon lines name a cage and a label: vertical cage bars and a 28 by 12 inch label on C-0255-2, and a wire cage with label plates of 24 by 38, 24 by 18 and 26 by 15 inches on C-0255-3, C-0255-4 and C-0255-5. At 330 gallons the tote lines are C-0255-6, a taller unit with a wire cage, and C-0300, with black lining around the base, neither with a photo on file. C-0680, the third 330 gallon line, names no cage or lining before its cut and gives a width, depth and height, so it sits with the tanks sized by width and depth.

Every tote line is cut off in the book. On the lines with a base lining the text stops mid-word after aluminum, so C-0255-7 and C-0255-8 read the same, word for word: put stock numbers on the hold list, not just a lining color, and ask the front office what the cut leaves out.

Upright tanks, 72 to 87 inches tall

The upright tanks on this page stand 72 to 87 inches tall on diameters of 31 to 48 inches. C-0030 and C-0062 share one look, white plastic on a black base, at 500 gallons, 48 inches across and 87 tall, with 2 in the book, and at 175 gallons, 32 across and 77 tall.

C-0624a, C-0624b and C-0624c list 3 tanks apiece and the note SPECIFY COLOR, but the book names no colors. The a and c lines are both 250 gallons and 35 inches across but stand 84 and 72 inches tall, while the b line is 200 gallons, 31 by 74: put the letter on the hold list and find out each letter's colors from the front office.

Round black and gray tanks, 200 to 1,100 gallons

The black round tanks climb from C-0408, 200 gallons at 42 inches across and 46 tall, through C-0555, 305 gallons at 48 by 54 with 3 in the book, to C-0554 at 550 gallons and C-0553 at 1,100, which grow wider, 67 and 86 inches across, but no taller.

C-0780 is gray plastic at the same 305 gallons, 48 inches across and 54 tall as C-0555, with 1 in the book.

Tanks sized by width and depth, 200 to 1,000 gallons

Five tank lines here give a width and depth where the other tanks give a diameter, and the book names no shape for them; the photo on each item page shows it. In white plastic they step from 200 gallons on C-0395 to 385 on C-0557, both on blue bases, with 4 tanks of 250 gallons on C-0679; C-0681 is a yellow 1,000 gallon tank, 84 by 60 by 62 inches.

The heights of C-0395 and C-0557 fall past the cut, and the book does not say whether their widths take in the base, and C-0680, 330 gallons, stops at "(SPECIFY W/ OR WITHOUT", so ask what it is booked with or without.

Ball-shaped, aged/rusty and other odd tanks

C-0556 is the tank the book calls ball shaped, yellow plastic, 300 gallons, 50 inches across and 55 tall. For a weathered yard, C-0665 is the line in this category marked aged/rusty: 1,400 gallons, round, 73 inches across and 70 tall, cut off at "w/ 8 drain". Each has 2 in the book.

C-0883, light brown with a screw top lid at 420 gallons, and C-0558, white with two 9 inch holes in the middle at 500 gallons, give no overall size before the cut. Both have photos on their item pages; ask the front office for the measurements.

Spigot containers, a drum style container and a liquefied gas container

At the small end of this category are C-0264, a 10 gallon white plastic container with a lid and spigot, 14 inches across and 21 tall, and C-0492, 25 gallons, white, with a black screw top and a black bottom side spigot. Two more lines sit with them: C-0807, a yellow/silver plastic drum style container, 22 inches across and 31 tall, 4 in the book, and G-0030, a 16 gallon liquefied gas container with its cap secured by a chain. For propane tanks and metal fuel drums, see Propane Tanks.

Wire cages, palletainers, cold storage and biohazard bins

The two tables below hold the category's other 19 lines, none giving gallons and none with a photo on file. Each row gives what its book line says, and where the count column shows Ask, the book gives no count.

The wire cages in the first table below run from 30 inches tall on C-0509, collapsible, to 63 on C-0824, with a door at the bottom. C-0485 and C-0857 are gray and blue plastic palletainers; black and blue collapsible palletainers are filed under Pallets / Pallet Jacks.

C-0717a and C-0717b are cold storage containers in blue and light blue plastic, each with an insulated front flap cover on a pallet base, and C-0718 is a blue plastic one with a lid. The red plastic biohazard waste containers in the second table, 2 each on C-0755 and C-0755a, have a flip lid and foot pedal; the stock book search on the home page also finds red metal biohazard containers with a foot pedal lever, B-0299 and B-0300. Biohazard and infectious waste signs to go with them are among the lines under Lab / Biohazard Signs.

Tank measurements for the truck, and the tote sizes to ask for

For the truck the renter sends, its own or one from a shipper it hires (collection by a shipper), the sizes in the tables above run to 86 inches across on C-0553, 84 by 60 inches on C-0681 and 87 inches tall on C-0030. C-0665, the 1,400 gallon tank, is 73 inches across and 70 tall, though EC does not weigh items or estimate their weight.

None of the tote lines gives an outside size, so put tote sizes on the list of questions for the front office, with every row whose size column says Not given or cut off, such as C-0557, C-0558 and C-0883.
