Exterior flood lights for rent: brown box, halogen and period floods

How deep each look runs, and where two lines nearly match

Below the four deep lines the counts step down quickly. L-0148, a rectangular silver metal flood with glass, has 15, and L-0156, the same description in brown metal at 14 by 10 by 9 inches, has 15; the L-0506 spot has 11, L-0195C and L-0242B have 10 each, and L-0323 has 10, only 5 of them counted with glass. Every other line on this page holds 2 to 8, apart from single pieces on L-0144A, L-0144B and L-0190A to L-0190C, so a long wall of one look starts from the deep lines.

Some lines share most of a description, so compare the photos on both pages before one run mixes them. L-0242B and L-0242W share one halogen description apart from the color, a flood 14 inches wide and 9 tall with a bracket and adjustable deflectors: 10 in black, 8 in white. L-0536 and L-0576 are brown boxes with a glass lens and a mounting bracket, 6 at 16 by 10 by 10 inches and 6 at 18 by 10 by 11; L-0576 names a stepdown, and L-0536 is cut off at "w/ stepd". L-0108's line uses the same words as L-0521's for a brown box with a glass lens on a 2 inch diameter post bracket, but it names no guard/cage before it is cut off, and with L-0521 cut off before a size, the book does not say the two bodies match.

Brown floods, from caged post mounts to junction boxes

EC's book calls 13 of this category's lines brown, 108 floods in all, and the table sorts them, and 3 others, by the mount each line names. The two deep ones hang differently: L-0521, with its glass lens and metal guard/cage, sits on a 2 inch diameter post bracket, where its line is cut off before any size, while L-0533, 16 inches wide, 6 deep and 13 tall, sits on a mounting bracket. Two more brown box flood lines are in EC's book without a category, so they are not in this table, but the stock book search on the home page finds them: L-0511, 9 with a glass lens on a mounting bracket at 16 by 7 by 16 inches before its line is cut off, and L-0521A, 2 with a glass lens and metal guard/cage on a mounting bracket, its line cut off after 17 inches wide.

Notes in the book can change the request. L-0533 and L-0461 each ask you to specify with or without something, and both notes are cut off before the choice is named; L-0538, one of the two incandescent brown box lines with glass on a junction box, ends in a starred note that is cut off too. Ask the front office what each note says before you plan around those lines.

The table's other 3 lines name another finish or none: L-0148 is rectangular silver metal with glass, L-0556 a fluorescent flood on a junction box with its height cut off, and L-0084 a 5 by 6 by 4 inch mini-flood box on a 28 inch pipe with a flange, ending in a note that is cut off. Among the brown boxes, L-0537 has triangular sloped sides.

O.D. green oval shades, a blue oval and the clamshell reflectors

L-0135 holds 86 oval shades in O.D. (olive drab) green, each 17 to 20 inches across and 20 inches tall, one shade and one color in a count that can line a perimeter. Its line names no bracket or mount, so ask the front office how the shades hang before construction builds for them. L-0381 is a blue oval shade on a 2 inch diameter pole mount, and L-0187 a squared green shade with corners on a swivel bracket.

The table's 4 clamshell shaped reflector shade lines hold 5 shades: L-0111 on an iron wall bracket, and L-0190A, L-0190B and L-0190C, single green metal clamshells 21½ to 22 inches wide, each cut off partway into the word after "w/ iron". Clamshells listed as billboard lights, such as L-0249 and L-0481, are filed under Billboard Lighting.

Halogen floods on junction boxes and brackets

The 10 halogen flood lines below, 100 floods, also appear under Halogen Lights, and each one's line begins "Light, flood, exterior, halogen". L-0195, square at 9 by 5 by 9 inches on a junction box, is the deep one. The other halogen junction box lines here run 8 to 14 inches wide, from L-0463A to L-0462, and 3 to 6 inches deep, from L-0195B to L-0463B; L-0463A and L-0463B have a visored frame, and L-0447 an octagonal lens frame. L-0426, 12 by 9 by 9 inches with no mount named, is the one halogen flood whose text reads "wet location".

Period, deco and round floods, with the glass counts EC keeps

The book's word "period" appears on 4 of the lines below. L-0136 and L-0270 are galvanized metal floods 18 inches across that differ in the bracket, 6 inches wide on L-0136 and 14 on L-0270, and L-0144A and L-0144B are one each of a 23 inch period flood with four bolt latches, one with a ribbed opaque glass lens and one with a smooth clear glass lens; both of those lines are cut off after the latches.

In this table, 4 lines count their glass, globe or lens apart, and the split belongs on the request. L-0136 has 3 with glass and 4 without and L-0270 has 2 with a lens and 1 without, and both ask you to specify; L-0117, a 12 inch dome shade angled at 30 degrees, has 6 with a globe and 1 without; L-0323, an oval "eye" shape glass lens with a deco cover, has 10, 5 of them with glass.

By the diameters the book gives, the round floods in this table run 12 inches (L-0117 and L-0149), 16 (L-0403, with a 14 inch plexiglass shade), 18 (the galvanized pair), 19 (L-0500, an aluminum shade with a glass bottom), 23 (the bolt latch pair) and 24 (L-0374, a plastic lens on a junction box). L-0149, a fisheye with a reducer, is described in the book as hazardous location, and it appears again under Spotlights, not under Hazardous Location Lights.

L-0403 also appears under Street Lights, and L-0374 under Warehouse Lights; the scoop shade floods L-0198 and L-0209 are on the Street Lights page, not this one.

Spot lights filed with the floods

Spot lights by their own text make up 3 lines here, 21 units: L-0506, a 4 inch body with a glass lens and a guard, ending in a specify note that is cut off; L-0507, a 9 inch ribbed metal body on a metal bracket; and L-0271, a 16 inch spot light on an adjustable arm. L-0507 and L-0271 also appear under Spotlights; L-0506 does not.

Getting a wall of floods onto your own truck

EC does not deliver, so a run of floods leaves in the production's own truck, and the volume adds up: each of the 86 L-0135 shades is 17 to 20 inches across and 20 inches tall. Call the front office ahead with the run you plan, and ask what truck it takes.

A full run of L-0521 means 29 glass lenses by the book's description, and the book names glass on many more lines in these tables, from the 15 silver floods of L-0148 and the 15 brown ones of L-0156 to most of the other brown lines, the glass bottoms of L-0500, the period pair L-0144A and L-0144B and the 21 spot lights. L-0117 adds globes, L-0374 a plastic lens and L-0403 a plexiglass shade. Count every lens, globe and shade in the tables, glass or not, when the production gathers its pads and ropes or tie-downs; EC does not supply expendables. EC cannot weigh the floods and gives no estimate of their weight, which matters if construction plans to hang them overhead.
