Caged wall lights, sconces and ceiling lights for rent

Runs of one fixture, and where a run splits

A corridor or a cell block tier wants one fixture repeated, so the count on one stock number is what matters. In the tables below, the counts of 16 or more are 26 each of L-0175 and L-0522, 24 of the bi-directional tube L-0241, 20 of the green-shaded vapor flat top L-0253, 18 each of the aluminum flat top L-0214 and the caged black box L-0548, and 16 of the aluminum cone shade L-0386; L-0422, L-0026, L-0045, L-0178 and L-0331 count 11 to 14, and the 11 of L-0258 split by its tulip cage.

Four of those lines carry a note asking you to name what you want: the body, color and type on L-0026, the cage on L-0045, the globe color on L-0214 and the globe on L-0253. The book gives no split for any of them, so 13 of L-0026 are not necessarily 13 alike; the hold list notes in the tables say what each line needs.

Guarded and caged wall lights: oblong, round and boxed

On a stairwell, boiler room or cell block wall, the fixture is often a globe behind a guard or cage. The oblong lines are 11 inches wide on L-0175 and on the caged plastic L-0178, 8 inches on L-0422. The round ones in this table climb from the 6 inch glass globe of L-0026 to caged 8 inch globes on L-0071, 9 inches across with a metal base, and L-0027, 10 inches across, and to L-0616, 10 inches with a glass lens. L-0548 is a black metal box with a glass globe and wire cage, and L-0045 a gray fixture with a glass globe, 13 inches wide, whose line asks for it with or without a cage.

The book's lines for L-0280 and L-0542 read hazardous location, incandescent, wall mount, each with a globe; on L-0542 the guard is followed by a word the book cuts off. EC files both under Hazardous Location Lights as well, and that category also holds the guarded wall mount globes L-0154, L-0116 and L-0476, 5, 6 and 8 inches across. L-0339, a caged oval sconce with a guard, has no count and sits in no category; it comes up by its number in the home page's stock book search.

Flat tops, milk glass and ceramic bases

The three flat tops listed below come to 44 units: the vapor flat top L-0253 with a green angled shade, the aluminum L-0214 and the large aluminum L-0025 with a milk glass globe. L-0253 says vapor but is not in Vapor Lights; that category has the brass wall mount flat top L-0082B. Milk glass also comes on L-0046, on L-0221 with two globes and on the ceramic base L-0664, and L-0286, a ceiling mount that no category lists, has a 13 inch milk colored glass globe, 1 in the book.

Ceramic bases give a basement, a closet or a tenement hall the bare bulb look. L-0373 and L-0420 are 3 inches tall and taper, from 7 inches across to 4 and from 9 to 7, and L-0258 comes with a tulip cage on 10 and without on 1. None of those lines names a mount.

Cone shades, domes, goosenecks and tubes

The aluminum cone shade L-0386, 11 inches tall, counts 16; the black metal cone L-0586B is 6 inches across and sits on a swivel arm and a mounting plate the book does not place on a wall or a ceiling. L-0180 and L-0181 share one size, a 10 by 8 inch metal dome, half shaded on L-0180. The 20 inch China hat L-0632 stands off the wall on a gooseneck pole and is also listed under Street Lights; the page's other gooseneck, L-0546, sits with the exterior lights.

The two tubes below share a 6 inch diameter, L-0241 bi-directional at 18 inches tall and L-0256 uni-directional at 10 inches wide, and L-0256 is the page's one line whose book text says sconce. L-0294 is a 3 inch black cylinder spot on a U bracket.

Box and lens wall lights, and the ones the book calls exterior

Exterior is the book's word on 6 of the lines below, 21 units. The angled lens cover boxes L-0523 and L-0369, 16 and 15 inches wide, are the alley wall and loading dock look; L-0549 is a plexi box the book describes as "light shines up & down"; and L-0587, L-0322 and L-0546 read as porch lights: a rounded brown plastic box with ribbed plexi, a carriage style light and a frosted bell glass globe on a short copper gooseneck. The book's text stops partway on L-0549 and L-0546, and on the choice note of L-0523.

The rest of the table carries no exterior word. L-0222A and L-0222B read alike in the book except for the color: a 6 by 3 by 10 inch plastic box with a frosted plexi insert in silver or rust/bronze, 6 of each; the others are the triangular lens L-0428, the tapered glass globe L-0327 and the half sphere L-0179.

Ceiling mounts, a flush mount, wall inserts and a recessed mount

The 12 ceiling lines here come to 63 units, and 26 of them are L-0522, brown with a plastic lens, 12 by 12 by 9 inches. L-0448, square with a smooth plastic lens, is 12 by 12 by 5, and L-0331, the gray metal flush mount marked wall/ceiling, counts 11. White/clear glass globes on a chrome baseplate make up 5 lines and 9 units, 8 or 9 inches across; L-0272 and L-0273 read alike and stay two stock numbers, 1 each.

The rest come in small counts, each a look of its own: the holophane globe L-0192, the clear pointed globe on a gold base L-0677, the 12 by 12 inch L-0264 with a frosted globe and the octagonal LED L-0265, 15 inches across. L-0126A and L-0126B are louvered cover plate wall inserts 8 inches wide, and the book gives the recessed mount L-0261, with its frosted glass lens, no count at all; the front office is the place to ask.

Wall fluorescents and the deco period gold lines

Deco style, period is the book's own wording for L-0232 and L-0235, gold wall fluorescents 5 inches wide, 16 units between them: a 9 inch fluorescent with a dark lens and a 2 foot one with an angled plastic lens, the second also listed under Fluorescent Lights Two Foot Length. L-0227 is an angular beige 18 inch fluorescent with a switch, and L-0539 an adjustable 14 by 20 inch fixture the book lists with two 8w T5 12 inch bulbs.

A work light, a signal, a strobe and a spot

Filed here too are 4 lines from other kinds of lighting: the heavy duty yellow work light L-0620, 26 inches off the wall and also under Spotlights; the LED signal L-0281 with a red lens, also under Runway Lights; the strobe box L-0350; and the 8 inch spot L-0006. More work lights are filed under Work Lights.

Wall inserts and the recessed mount: the production fits them

EC does not set up rentals, so fitting a fixture to a set wall or ceiling is the production's work, and three lines here go into the surface rather than onto it: the louvered cover plate wall inserts L-0126A and L-0126B, 8 inches wide and 4 or 3 tall, and the recessed mount L-0261, its box 10 by 10 by 7 inches and its frame 11 by 11.
